My daughters car and when she drives it 5 miles are more it sounds like is boiling or running back into reservior once engine is turned off. She tells me that it isn't overheating and I just recently replaced the cap on the reservoir. The radiator has been flushed and refilled. Can you tell me what might be the problem and possible repair costs? Thanks

Docfixit,
Thanks again for the recommendation. It's been a while since I last changed a thermostat and engines do not look anything like they did then. It looks like the thermostat is in a metal piece just below the cap leading to the block. A hose runs from the radiator to the cap that is above the engine in the middle of the compartment. A metal piece runs from the cap down and is bolted to another metal piece that runs vertically to the block. It looks like the thermostat is located where those two pieces meet. Am I correct? Thanks again.
