The A/C in my PT Cruiser has stopped working. I can turn the air on and I hear what seems to be the motor running but no air is blowing from the vents. Occasionally the air blows from the vents and everything is fine, then the next time I start the air, nothing comes out of the vents. In every setting whether it be panel, floor, or defrost, the air does not blow, also the temperature setting doesn't fix the problem. The air doesn't blow whether it is on cold or hot or in between.

Hey Pt06

It sounds like the blend door actuator has gone bad which is common on these cars. Here is a guide that will give and an idea what you are in for with the repair. When you remove the actuator work the door by hand with the heater going so you can see which door does what.

Let me know what you find so it will help others, Best, Ken
