the dash gauges drop out at random. when they drop out the air bag light comes on and the blower motor turns on even though the auto climate control is turned off. the prndl light also goes off. i checked power and grounds to both the ipc and the bcm and are good.i replaced the ipc, bcm, ignition switch and none of these fixed the problem.any ideas what could cause this issue. could this be a module communication issue and how would test the communication bus wires.

Hi lsommerfeld,

Thank you for the donation.

With so many components replaced and none solving the problem, I would believe there is a power interruption that is intermittently failing.

You would have to check wireharness connectors and fuses for poor contact. Look out for signs of contamination or overheating. One of the most likely ciucuit would be from Fuse H of PDC to underdash junction box.
