This is my first actual "car" in years(owned Jeeps for a long time)

2002 Chrysler Concorde LX with 53,000 miles.

Drove to the store Christmas Eve afternoon without issue and then home. Christmas morning went to leave and car would not start, battery did not seem low and in place of engine turning over, a clicking noise was occurring.

I feel rather silly for asking about this, but what am I looking at?

Any help on this (and lack of public laughter  ) is appreciated.

i would get the battery checked. a weak battery can make the starter not fully engage and will make a clicking noise. advance auto parts will check your battery and charging system for free. also judging by the year of the van, it probably has the original battery which is only good for about five years.
