I know this is a random question, but basically I'm looking to know where the actual horn is located and whether it is easily manipulated. This is because I routinely have to set off the alarm because of a stupid glitch with the antitheft (if you're interested in that, see my response to this post), and I'd like a more quiet way of doing this. Removing the fuse for the horn does not work (well, it works at silencing the horn, but for some reason this doesn't satisfy the antitheft, so my car still won't start). So I know this sounds crazy, but if I could open the hood each time I have this problem, and reroute the wires to a light or something so the car thinks it's horn is beeping, that would be AWESOME. What do you think? How hard would this be?
History: Ohhhh boy. Get ready for this :). This car was in a front end crash, and then sold at an auction to a guy who fixed it up. It was having some kind of (alternator problems?) So he gave it to a technical college where the students presumably experimented on it like frankenstein, to which I attribute it's many odd glitches and random moodiness. These include having a radio that dies after a certain interval of time, having the instrument panel freeze up while driving, having the cruise control randomly activate, having the antitheft light randomly blink on while driving, and having the radio memory buttons randomly pull up previously stored stations, no matter how many times you reprogram them. All this in addition to the antitheft (without the alarm or lights) randomly activating itself to stop me from starting my car. All that said, I still like this car :).
