After changing fluid and filter, OBD code 1776 reoccurs occasionally

when you drained the tranny fluid did you see any debris in the pan? if so then tranny needs overhauled most likely. if you didn't then inspect the valve body for any damage. if OK check wiring at TCM grounds and battery feed. low battery voltage can also cause this code to appear.
