My wife is getting ready to sale or trade her cirrus, but for the last few weeks it has been doing something that is puzzleing. It will shut off without any warning, and if you wait for maybe ten minutes or so it will start again. But now it is taking more time before it restarts. Is this a fuel pump, or some type of module going bad, or what else could it be? It has been a good car, and oil changes and basic upkeep have always been done on time. Please advise me on this problem and how to fix it. We do not want to sell someone our problem. Thank you

It could be a crank sensor, fuel pump... What you need to do is check to see if it is getting spark and fuel when it won't start. One of them will be missing. Here are the how to's for checking.

Let me know what you find and if the check engine light has come on.
