Was told by service technition at oil-change business that he noticed that the cv joint on right-passenger front-side appeared to be cracked. He stated I should be hearing a loud popping noise when I turn the wheels. The only thing I hear is a loud squeaking noise when I get on my brakes. My question is are these two problems one and the same? If so what is an estimate of repair and how soon should this work be done.

Chances are the CV joint is good. They will make a clicking sound when turning if they are bad. He may have see a ripped CV boot and thought the joint was bad. However, if the boot is bad, you should have it replaced or you will end up with a bad joint. As far as the brakes, have you had the pads checked?
