Change Oil light

I was driving my car and the change oil light came on. I have put about 1,900 miles on my car since I change the oil in January of 2016, what could be causing the change oil light to come on? I have had the car for about 3 years and this is the first time the change oil light came on while driving.

It just needs to be reset. It comes on at a determined mileage and if you don't reset it when you change the oil then it comes on before you need an oil change. Turn the key on with engine not running and press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds it should reset the light.
