I may have just answered your post on driving lights. But to answer your question- if you pant to have the running lights come on with the head lights, my not knowing the wattage or amperage of the new lights, you should use a relay. Determine where you want the switch to be and mount it. Attach one side of the switch to the tail or paeking light circuit. Connect the wire from the other side of the switch to one side of the "coil" of the relay. Then, attach a wire fron the other side of the "coil" to ground. Next, run a wire from opnr of the "contact" side of the relay to a power source such as battery positive, making sure, I repeat, making sure you have an inline fuse as close to the power source as possible. Lastly, run a wire from the other side of the relay "contact" to your lights and you should be good to go. Happy lighting
NOTE; I you don't use a relay as described above and tie directly into the lighting circuit, the added load will probably keep blowing fuses. Hope this has helped.
