i have a 1996 and when i push my 4x4 button nothing happens but when i put it in netreal it will go into 4lo but will not go into 4hi do u have any idea why it wont work the right way for me. could it be the accuator on the front ?

It could be! Have the transfer case control module scanned for codes first.
