just after I had my tranmission rebuit, my truck is running warmer like passed 260 mark when idoling. It did run 210 before. It is a high milage but I put all the miles on it and alway serviced and babied my truck. As soon as I start going again it cools off back 2 normal for me.

Is the fan clutch locking up when the engine gets hot and pulling air through the radiator? Sounds like an air flow problem. Look for fluid leaking out of the front of the fan clutch. At 330 k if you havent done one, it might be a good place to start
