Engine Cooling problem
1994 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My temperature guage goes up and down as if the thermostsat is opening and closing-like from 160 to 215 and then back down. Why?

Welcome to the forum, you might take the connector loose from the temp sending unit, use a resistor on the circuit, see if the temp gage relates to the resistor and holds steady. If the gage doesn't hold steady, possible problem with gage or wiring circuit?
