My service engine soon light came on and then 5 seconds later my reduced engine power light came on to. Had a friend hook it up to diagnostic computer and this is the code it gave me and it also said Auxillary input/output?

DTC P1680 Is this something I can repair myself? And what does it mean?

This diagnostic applies to internal microprocessor integrity conditions within the powertrain control module (PCM). Monitor the 5V reference to the Accelerator Pedal Position ( APP ) sensor, circuit 1274, using Peak Min/Max on a Fluke 87. Command the fan clutch control "on". At 50%. If when commanding the fan clutch on, the 5V reverence spikes to battery voltage, the concern is the 5V reference shorted to battery voltage intermittently inside cooling fan clutch. Replace the fan clutch to repair this concern. I would also reprogram the PCM with the latest software.
