I have a 1995 S-10 Blazer with 130,000 miles, 4.3 liter. For the last 8 months on certain days ( especially when it is cold), the car will die when I am idleling at a stop light. When I try to start it, I have to hold the pedal to the floor and it will finally start. I also have to keep the idle up after starting, where the car will continue to run. Then if let it sit for a few hours, it will start up and run fine. I got a new fuel injector kit and it seemed to help for a couple of weeks, then it was back to square one. Please help, I don't know how to get this problem resolved.

Thanks
Chris

I don't know if you have done this but try looking for vacuum leaks in your hoses and intake, if i'm not mistaken you have the spider fuel injection system. Sometimes the plastic fuel intake can crack and create a leak. When it is running on its own, try spraying injector cleaner or something to that nature. If the engine idles up you have a leak in the gasket or the intake itself. If you have tryed this then check to make sure you are getting the right fuel pressure. You can get a fuel pressure gauge at any auto parts store. Make sure to check what the pressure specs. Should be

Get the fuel pressure check. CEL On?

If its coming from the spider-you'll smell gas fumes all over. Open up the upper intake plenum and investigate for washed-up areas-Pax side is the regulator-Driver side the nut kit.
