I am having an issue with getting the u-joints removed from the drive shaft. I can not seem to find any clips on the u-joint caps to remove and really don't know what is holding them in place. What am I missing?
The replacement u-joints threw napa have a part number of 235 and has 4 retaining rings or clips in the package. That is what I am use to but what is on the drive shaft is different. I rechecked the part # and it seems to be right.
I guess the main part of my question is how do I get the old u-joint apart?

They are probably buried under the dirt on the inside. Get a screwdriver and dig all the way around the base and look for a gap.

The caps are held in with a ring of plastic that was injected in. Use a propane torch on the loops and watch the little worms come out. Then you can press the caps out like normal. Use the clips that came with your new joint.
