2002 Chevy Tahoe check engine soon

You should have the computer scanned. If you have a mechanic scan it he (or she) will probably charge you. You can have Autozone or a place like that scan the computer for you for FREE. They will give you the code and you can let us know what the code is and we can take it from there. If you do not work on your tahoe, we can tell you what the code is, so you will have a "heads up" when you take your tahoe to a mechanic. If the engine is running fine it is probably something minor - like a bad gas cap or loose gas cap - common issue. But it can be something that can lead up to a bigger issue so have the computer scanned.
