The abs system needs to be monitored with a hand held computer that can read the input from the sensors. The sensors may be fine, but the harness may be at fault. Regardless of the source this is where diagnosing this begins. There will be codes stored in the computer possibly to narrow this down, but getting to see what is being lost is needed. Once the offending circuit is found, testing can then be done on the sensors, harness etc.

Testing is the best way to go about it. You can check the harnesses and do continuity checks as well as the connectors, but it would be far more effecient to check with the scanner to start narrowing down the problem.
