Should be 8-12psi while engine is idling and higher above idle ranging up to 40-50 psi not to exceed 70psi

That depends on what engine you're running
5.7L should be 18psi at 2,000 RPM
6.5L Turbo Diesel should be 30 - 43psi at 2,000 RPM
7.4L 25psi at 2,000 RPM
