1996 Suburban K1500 4X4 with 350 and 225,000 miles. The antilock light comes on and sometimes stays on an other times goes out. Lately when moving very slowly and applying the brakes the antilocks will pulse but the brakes still work. Is there a way to check the sensors with a voltmeter?

[quote:145e7ef14c="reboohf"]I have a 1997 Ford Explorer that blow hot air out the defrost vent whenever the truck is running. It doesn't matter if the A/C is turned on or off. What could be causing this? Thank you[/quote:145e7ef14c]

Possibly a temperature blend door motor or worse, a broken blend door...

No, I haven't been able to figure it out and to make matters worse the transmission just lost 3 and 4th gear so stopping isn't the big problem anymore.

Well my friend I was going to tell you it's probably the wheel sensor on the hub. With 225000 miles its time to change the hubs anyway. The sensor and the hub should be changed as a unit.
Sorry about the transmission. If there is any good thing about this transmission it is that the transmisions in these trucks have been perfected since they first came out in 1984. I will suggest, if you are thinking of fixing it, do not rebuild this one. Swap it out for a factory re-built or similar. It may be cost more but you'll have a better warranty, newer parts, and probably a better transmission than the origional. There is a lot of work involved with changing a transmission in a truck with 4 wheel drive---but I'm sure you know that.....Good luck
