Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2008 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 6000 k miles

Through much research, I narrowed down a leveling kit made by Truxxx to raise my front end of my 2008 Silverado 2.5 inches with shims on the coil-over unit and the rear 1.25 inches. It just gives the truck a better stance. Now that this is installed, I was wondering about the front CV arms new angles? Will this cause premature wear? It is the minimum lift available, that is why I chose it. also there is a LOT of people out there installing this kit.( I had mine done by a certified Garage that is a distributor and stocks this type of leveling kit. Your answers might help all of us out there to do or undo this procedure. Thanks. My new Chevy with the kit installed is behind my old 94 that has 300000 k on it and has had a 3" body lift since new with no problems.

Ron

Ok first let me thank you for your donation. As for you leveling kit or even lift kits for that matter. They are researched and disigned to work with the trucks suspension. If all is done as per company procedure then it will not cause any problems to you truck. As you said it improves the truck stance and makes it look like a truck again. So I guess what I am trying to say it rest assure that it will work and look great without premature wear on any part. Thanks for you question and have a great Christmas.

Also keep in mind that this WILL AFFECT WARRENTY COVERAGE. The dealer will not warranty any mod because this does change the stance of the truck, even with the min lift. This will change the work angle of the driveshaft and the vehicle will need to be realigned because it will change caster and camber. I always recommend a GM approved lift kit it makes it easer. Just something to keep in mind before you install.
