1998 Chevy Silverado flooded

I just got a used truck, it always starts right on turn over.

Occasionally, it acts like it is flooded and will not turn over. The original owner says to uplug the battery and let it sit. Then it will start up.

The check engine light is always on.

He says, it does this 1 out of 8 times.

I think it is a sensor.

1st step is to get the codes
have the truck scan for codes that will help to point you in the right way
and will pin point the trouble area
check with your local part store if they offer that free service
