1997 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

When I brake the wheel just started pulling heavily to the left. When I pulled over I noticed that when the brake was pressed at the point of coming to a complete stop I felt the top part of the wheel kind of tighten up in to an upper incline kind of gave me a feeling the top of the wheel was going to come down an hit the street I am wonder what part I need to locate an replace or if you could shoot me in the correct direction

I recently had the same problem and it turned out to be a outer tie rod. Same symtoms to a tee though. Hope this helps.

Hi:
If the tie rods are good, check rear brake adjustment. Lift the rear of the truck and see if there is a drag on each wheel when you spin them. Let me know what you find. Also, have you had any trouble with the front brake calipers? One may not be working. Try the same test on the front. However, they should spin freely. Have a helper hit the brakes to see if they both lock and release.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
