My wipers stopped while running in an awkward position. Is there a fuse, and if it is the wiper control module, where is it?

They may be disconnected from the wiper transmission. Can you hear the motor run, if so that is more likely the case and you should then be able to move them by hand. IF not, then see if power is getting to the motor. The fuse location should be listed in the owner's manual. The wiper control module is on top of the wiper motor.
