HI.

My truck has had to be in storage for about 2 1/2 years. Getting ready to get it out of storage and was wondering what should I do to it before starting it up. When I parked it, it had very little fuel in fact the fuel light was on, so maybe about 2 gallons in the tank. Just wanting some hints and tips on what I should do, before attempting to start it back up and start driving it again.

The biggest concern you have will be the fuel system components and dried varnish. The first thing would be fresh fuel and a fuel filter. You'll have to see from there if the fuel pumps works properly and whether the injectors are plugged up. Look it over real good for any signs of varmints that may have nested or chewed up the wiring.
After you get it running, change the oil and filter.
