Multiple problems with my S10:

1. Typically my temp gauge is in middle at 210. Lately I've seen it run up to 3/4 (240?) And beyond. Radiator seems to lose coolant quickly but I've seen no sign of leaks. I've changed the radiator cap and thermostat.

2. SES light is on, but can't get a reading on OBD II. I've taken to 2 auto parts stores and neither can get a reading. I've checked all the fuses and can't find a blown one.

3. Oil pressure gauge typically stays at 3/4. Recently it will start varying from 1/4 at idle to 3/4 when at ~2500 rpms, especially when the temp gauge is up at 3/4.

4. ABS and Brake light some on steady shortly after I start driving.

If you are consuming coolant, and there are no signs of external leaks, then one would suspect internal leakage, and this could also explain running hot. Does it get hot just sitting there idling, or does it happen when driving?

The SES light on may relate to the overheat, you have no way of knowing until you get to the codes. When a code reader is connected to the DLC connector, does it power on?

Not certain if an OBDII code reader will help with the ABS codes. That would definately shed some light on why the lamp is coming on.

I would get a pressure test on the cooling systems. Could be the lower intake gaskets failing due to the use of Dexcool Cooling Fluid. I just recently had to replace mine and the symptoms were almost the same.
