when i shift it into four wheel drive everthing asks like it is working ok. The trasfercase ingages and the vacum acuator is moving in and out underneath the battrey.. I just don't know if the acuator is moving the cable down to the front differential properly? Is there a easy way to check if the cable is moving properly? If the cable is fine what else can I do to see if the front differential is ok inside without tearing everthing apart.

check to see if there is vacum at the check valve on the transfer case its usually looks like a triangle with hose's attached if there is vacum, remove the valve that was connected to the hose's and see if the ball is stuck if so replace it
