I have my rear axle ready for reassembly. I had a leaking pinion seal and decided to replace it. I went to remove the flange with a four jaw puller and it would not move. The puller was wedged so I tapped it with a brass hammer and I knocked the pinion loose and assume I knocked the depth out of spec. I am re-using all of the hard parts and have them all laid out ready o reinstall with new seals and a new crush sleeve. I'm assuming I need to reset the depth and reset the rear end for assembly. I have the dial gauge and a set thickness gauges also. Since I am reusing the old bearings and shims what do I need to reset and what to adjust. I've tore down and fixed everything else on a car but this is my first rear end build. Thanks in advance.
