Can you describe the noise and where it sounds like it is coming from? Also, did the check engine light come on?

I need you to take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for trouble codes. If the light is on, that will identify where the problem is coming from. Plus, most do it for free so there is no money out of pocket to find out.

Hopefully, it's just a sensor (which the scan will identify) and not rod or main bearing in the lower end of the engine.

Let me know what codes they come up with for you.

Joe
