1998 Chevy S-10 Erratic Idle

I would like some help please, my 98 S10 idles erraticly, but can't find any vacuum leaks, please help.

Try cleaning out the idle air control valve and see what happens

Its probably in your ecm (computer) telling you tps (throttle position sensor) to set the idle high. my s10'idle was up and down so bad that it caused an exhaust leak. the temp fix is to unplug the tps remove it and set the idle manually. and dont plug it back in. your idle will stay constant.
the only thing is in winter you may have to manually bump it up.

best thing is to get an ecm replacement. it will have to be flashed to your vin costs about 75 buck hope this helps
