Engine Cooling problem
1995 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 213 K miles

I have a 1995 chevy s-10 v-6 TBI. The truck runs great if the temp. Stays below 210 deg. Something happens at 210 deg. The truck acks like its going to run out of gas, backfires through the carb, the exhaust, stalls out. If your sitting in a fast food drive thru the temp. Goes up to 210 plus, and sometimes stalls out. But as soon as you start to move the temp. Comes down. I have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, radiator, clutch fan, air filter, temp. Sensor, o2 sensor, cat converter, plugs, plug wires, cap & rotor.
Still the same, Like I said you can beat the crud out of this truck below 210 and it runs great, but 210 or above you really got to feather the gas to get the truck to move untill temp. Drops. I also checked for codes, the was none. Anybody have the same problem or know how to fix it? Thanks

P.S. I'm thinking of changing the fuel reg. With injectors, What else is left?

I forgot I also replaced all hoses, also the thermostat 195deg. I tried a lower temp. 180 but the problem was the same so I put the 195 back in.

Thanks.

210 is not all that hot for idle and it does come down when you move so that all sounds normal.
What I think is happening is a lean conditioncausing the backfire. So your thought of replacing the reg/inj. Is good assuming it is OEM.
Let me know

Thanks for the reply, The thing that bothers me is why doesn't the lean condition backfiring happen below 210 deg.? Do you think the fuel could be vapor locking when it gets that hot? Thanks

When it gets that hot fuel will vaporize in the intake the correct fuel ratio will keep it cool enough. So yes vapor lock popping and poor acceleration
