Engine Cooling problem
1991 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 0
I just put a remanufactured motor in my truck and it runs hot. Has a new water pump, tried two thermostats, and is full of fluid. What could be wrong?

What are you calling hot? Normal temperatures run in the 198-210.
Where did the rebuild come from?
What condition is the radiator in?
What is the oil pressure and how does it run overall?
It could be simply that the engine was built tight and will need to break in some. How long does it run until it heats up?

10 minutes to 260 is WAY fast. Is this the original radiator? Was it in good shape? Any bubbles in the overflow? I would probably run a pressure test on it to see what you get.
