Hello!

When I start my car either in the morning or after a 6+ hours of not being on, I have a problem getting it to move. Specifically, I will put my car in drive and hit the gas pedal, the car only moves a few inches, acting like its not responding to the gas. It almost feels as though Im acidentally hitting the gas pedal when it is in neutral. I know this cannot be the case because my shifter is locked into drive it cannot move into neutral without pushing the button down. It will sit there for about 5 seconds, barely moving and then all of a sudden it feels as though whatever is not connecting connects and it takes off. It will be hesitent to take off when I get to the corner of my block as well, but not quite as bad. Again, this only happens when I havent used the car for 6+ hours. If you could help I'd greaty appreciate it! Thank you so much!

Start by checking the trans fluid level in trans with engine running in park. If fluid level is OK, then check the differential fluid level. Check fluid for discoloring or unusual odor.

Dfferential fill is on rear of transaxle near firewall side.

If differential is OK, then you may have a blockage in valve body. I would change the trans filter and gasket, looking for any metal particles in pan.

Also check the shifter linkage for binding or loose brackets.
