I bought a new neutral safety switch for my 2001 S10 because when I went to crank it having the clutch engaged it would not start. My question is,when replacing the switch,it appears that I will have to pull the small rod out the master cylyinder to replace the switch. Is this the right way or not?Do I need another part from the parts house or what?Has anyone else had this problem as my wife is tired of pushing my truck down the driveway and I'm tired of hearing about it.lol

You should not have to pull anything out of the mater cylinder to replace that switch, push the clutch in and find something to hold it down like a board.
