The temp gauge in my 1997 Chevy P30 Step van was not working, after tracing the wires that go to the temp sender on the left side of the engine, I noticed that one wire was broken coming out of the connector. I just spliced the wires together. The gauge now works, but the temp gauge goes to full hot with the key off, is that normal?
