There were 4 transmissions offered, depending on model. A240E, A245E, A131L and A140E. All are 4 speed except A131L which is 3 speed.

The best resource for trans. Interchangeability is your local junk yard. Since the Prizm is mechanically identical to the Toyota Corolla, they would interchange also.

While all would probably bolt up to engine, you should replace with same model trans. That is on the car i.E. Replace an A131L with an A131L, otherwise you may have to replace ECM and add other trans. Controls not on the car.
