I have a 92 chev 4x4 with a 5.7 in it. For some reason it is getting to much fuel. It runs rough and back fires blowing the muffler apart.I have changed the injectors but dont know where to start with the censors. I had it to a dealer they hooked it up to the scanner and got codes 32 and 42. 32 was the egr so I changed that but they never said what the 42 was. Thanks for any help I can get

Code 42 is a spark timing issue. How long since a tune-up? With the engine running, the pcm controls the spark timing on the white wire at the distributor. That signal is a dc pulse. Above a certain rpm the pcm sends a 5 volt signal to the ignition module, tan/ black wire. That tells the ignition module to use the signal on the white wire for ignition timing. Check the signal on the white wire.
