2003 Chevy Monte Carlo What could my problem be?

I recentley purchased the vehicle as is and when it takes off its slow, it eventually picks up speed and it jerks and puts sometimes when I hit the gas like its out of gas. It doesn't do this all the time but its worst when its raining.

You need to check it for tune up
do u have check engine light on

The only time the check engine light came on is when I took off and I was trying to get on the express way and I pushed the gas pedal down constantly for about 45 seconds try to pick up speed and get on the express way and the check engine light flashed on and off 3 times

Scanning for history codes will point you in the correct direction
as if its a misfire or something else
the ECM will hold in the memory all them trouble codes
so getting the codes will help
