Is the engine blown up or are you replacing it because coolant in oil? Coolant in oil is very common for these engines and can be repaired by replacing the intake manifold gaskets

These engines are pretty bullet proof but if you want to replace engine it comes out from the top and is fairly easy to do. The one thing that may mess you up is there is a transmission bell housing bolt on the rear under the car that goes is backwards. Make sure you take this one out. As for the years, im not sure. If you call a salvage yard they have a database that will tell you. I know some engines of the same size and year but from different cars will interchange but you have to change the engine mounts and the timing cover so double check with the junk yard.

If the engine still runs and does not rap I would definitely replace the intake gaskets before replacing engine

The intake gaskets are made from plastic and rubber and have since been updated to metal and rubber. They have to be replaced on every single one of these engines. Remove the intake and you will see the gaskets broken. I have performed this job atleast a hundred times and only 1 time I had to replace a head gasket.
