1995 Chevy Lumina air bags

I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina car and my air bag light went on today for the first time. I am a little scared if this is going to deploy. What do I do to correct this problem and what will happen if it deploys? Could you email me back with your answer?

Odds of it deploying are slim to none. When the light comes on, the system is dis-armed so that a malfunction wont set the bag off. You will need to have the system scanned to find out what the problem is. If the bag was to deploy (which it wont) it would be like getting hit in the face with a rough hard pillow that was traveling 60mph when it hit you. Those older bags are 1st gen. And they deploy a littlelrough, but still save lives
