1991 Chevy Lumina lumina wont stay running

check your tps, iac and exhaust. may want to have diagnostics done to narrow down your search. also, 91 to 93 lums are known for sticky tcc as well. nothing a little seafoam transtune wont fix. you'll have to try one thing at a time till you find the cure...

I have replaced the tps, the fuel pressure regulator, the computer and just about everything else that I can think of. I am beyond puzzled it runs for about 25 seconds and dies then wont start up for a few minutes. thank you for your input

please give me a detailed list of everything you've done so far. I'll try to analyze the issue. I went thru something similar, replacing ALL the sensors, come to find out I simply needed to clean out the egr valve chamber. grrrrr
anyway, gimme a list. lets get it cured...

thank you so much for your time I am an out of work injured worker and this is costing me so much so your input is greatly appreciated, so again thank you. I ahve replaced the fuel pump,fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, fuel relay. then the ignition control module, coil packs, plug wires, crank sensor, tps, iac, ecu, fuses, fusable links, egr valve, i even dropped the exhaust thinking the cat might be plugged. I am at a total loss its like it gets gas to start then something tells it not to give more gas. I have 46lbs. of fuel pressure. so I just dont get it. Again thank you for your time.

have your o2 sensor tested to see if it has a signal. then seafoam your vac lines. or buy the silicon hose set at pepboys for $25 bucks and redoing them yourself. wouldnt hurt to drain a pint of tranny fluid out and put a pint of seafoam transtune in. run normally for a couple days, then flush the tranny, this will lubricate the tcc enough to keep it from sticking. you may want to test your map sensor as well. maybe an upper intake cleaning, mine was pretty fowled up with carbon, had to take the manifold off and clean it. in fact, when i replaced my map sensor, i had clusters of what looked like mud built up behind it. it was in dire need of cleaning...

does the 91 lumina have a cam position sensor? if so where and the vin has a T in it if that maters.

thank you all for all your time and help i really am thankfull I finally got it fixed it ended up being completly plugged fuel injectors they were clear enough for the initial start but not clear enough to keep car running. So thank you again for all your help.
