1991 Chevy Lumina check engine light

I have a check engine light that is on looking for info on how to cure this--i have ahd a ton of parts replaced and all--the auto parts stores say they can't check a code on it because its to old so how do I find out whats keeping it on?

Your car can be checked, you may have to take it to a delearship because not all auto part stores carry obd-1 or pre obd scanners. I belive your car has a little jumper tool that the codes flash out with a light. Also, try resetting the code yourself and see if it comes back, remove the negative battery cable for 10 minutes.
