The car has a mind of it's own when trying to start it. Sometimes it will start on first try, sometimes it takes a few cranks, and other times it won't start at all. Already checked the starter and starter solenoid and they're in working order. When it does get started and has been idling for a couple of minutes, it sounds like it's about to cut out. Was told to check the fuel pressure regulator, but I can't seem to find it on the motor. Where is the regulator?

The regulator is located on the return line side of the fuel rail. Will have a vacuum line going to it and it is circle in shape. Only thing not an injector on the fuel rail

Start by checking the fuel pressure if its within specs and test the fuel pump relay if okay-clean out the idle air control valve and see what happens.
