My 95 Impala ss gears are sticking.

My 95 impala ss is having trouble shifting from gear to gear. It sounds like the gears are getting stuck. I usually put mid grade or premium gas in it and this time I used regualr on accident, couold that be the problem and if so how do I fix it?
It is a 95 chevorlet impala ss andit has 93,000 miles on it and it has a V8 port fuel injection engine

It is not recommended to use higher than 89 octane as this will carbon up the engine and damage other components. This is stock as built by GM 94-96 years. I would drop transmission pan and inspect filter and pan bottom for excessive dirt/contaiminates low pressures in trans. Will cause poor upshift
