Transmission problem
1995 Chevy Corsica 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 125. miles

i just bought my '95 corsica. when i drive the car for any length of time, it will stall and die at intersections and if i stop. it does not shift down i have to manually shift it (which i know its hard on the trany). it shifts in to drive it stays in drive even when i stop. the low rpms when i start to move kills the car. and really really hot but it doesn't say its hot. what's causing it? so i can fix it.

Hi gymini,

Thank you for the donation.

Seems you have an idling and trans issue.

Is the Malfunction Indicator Lamp showing?

I woudld suggest getting a scan done to retrieve for Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Most parts outlets provides the service free or for a nominal amount.

Get the scan done and lwet me know the results.

For the idling issues, most probably the throttle body and Idle Air Control valve needs some cleaning.
