1995 Chevy Corsica 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 125. Miles

i just bought my '95 corsica. When I drive the car for any length of time, it will stall and die at intersections and if I stop. It does not shift down I have to manually shift it (which I know its hard on the trany). It shifts in to drive it stays in drive even when I stop. The low rpms when I start to move kills the car. And really really hot but it doesn't say its hot. What's causing it? So I can fix it.

Seems you have an idling and trans issue.

Is the Malfunction Indicator Lamp showing?

I woudld suggest getting a scan done to retrieve for Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Most parts outlets provides the service free or for a nominal amount.

Get the scan done and lwet me know the results.

For the idling issues, most probably the throttle body and Idle Air Control valve needs some cleaning.
