Engine Cooling problem
1993 Chevy Corsica 6 cyl Automatic 79000 miles

MY CAR WAS GETTING HOT AND CUTTING OFF SO I REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT - THIS PROVENTED THE CAR FROM CUTTING OFF ANYMORE BUT THE TEMP GAUGE INSIDE THE CAR INDICATES THAT THE TEMP IS GETTING ABOVE NORMAL - WHY WOULD THIS HAPPEN?

Hi:
This could be caused by a couple things. Have you ever had the radiator and engine block flushed? Also, are you sure the temp sending unit is working properly?
