Engine Mechanical problem
1989 Chevy Corsica 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

the car is in good condition we just got it and the guy who sold it to us took great care of it the car had been sitting in the lot for a bit my father drove it and the car drove fine everthing was great just a couple days ago I left the ligths on so the car needed a jump after that the dashboard switch well turned off so the switch was replaced after that the car turned on but then switched off right away and then the check engine light turned on I dont know what could it be I tried turning it on but it just shuts off right away can you help please?

You really need to read the code to see why the check engine light turned on. But from what you describe it might be teh MAP sensor. Check the vacuum line going to it if it has one. They get pinched and soft then the car won't run.
