The last time I was here the truck was in the shop for fuel pump relay. The truck wouldn't start now & then. That's been repaired.

We got it home, it sit approx. 48 hours here after bringing it home. We went to use it and it wouldn't start. NO power at all, not even radio or lights. We put in a brand new battery and it started right up. That's the good news.

The next time we went to use it, it wouldn't start again, dead battery. SO as soon as we charged the battery it started right up. It's NOT the battery but is a drain/pull from something when ithe truck's tunred off.

The mechanic has checked every fuse one at a time, about everything. He thinks it might be in the, hope I get this right, lamp relay/regulator or whatever it's called? But he said it runs several circuits.

What in the world would this problem be caused from? We need the truck so are picking it up in the morning, but will be taking it back to be fixed, so if you could get me some anwsers soon. I appreciate it.

Follow this link, it explains how to find a current draw(parasitic drain) like yours.

Thanks but I already saw that. Most of that pertains to cars, this is a pickup truck, plus that pretty basic information. I was hoping for something my mechanic may have not checked, alittle trick of the trade so to speak.

Anyone have more advise for me on this? Thanks.

That link pertains to pickups too, no easy way out, a dead short is either easy or hard to find, nothin tricky, just detective work, so to speak.
