1989 Chevy Celebrity 6 cyl Automatic
My 1989 Chevy Celebrity dies without sputtering or any noise. It was running ok then died while driving 70mph. If I let it sit it would start again but die after driving for a few miles. I changed the fuel pump and filter and it appeared to fix the problem but after driving about 5 miles I could no longer touch the gas pedal without it stalling out. I have replaced the idle air control sensor, the temp sensor on the air filter box, the throttle position sensor and the plugs and wires and the problem has gotten worse. If it starts. After a few hundred feet it dies and I cannot push down on the accelerator without it dieing out. It doesn't have a mass air flow sensor on the car. What could be the problem? Please Help?
