My 1988 Chevy Celebrity will not go over 20mph with out the engine skipping or stopping. It has died completely twice, and when it does there is no power to any part of the car. The alternator is good, and the battery is brand new. It starts up pretty good. I'm not sure what is going on with it.

Welcome to the forum, how long since overall tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Any oil in the air filter housing? If the vacuum modulator is faulty, it can have a problem shifting.
